Letters to The Tribune should 200 words or less. The Tribune prefers shorter the better. Then e-mailed letters or you can snail mail it. Must sign and include your address and phone number. You are limited to one letter a month.

The Santa Maria Times encourages readers to express their opinions.
Submittied letters should be no longer than 300 words and MUST include the author’s full name, address and daytime phone number. They may be edited for length, clarity and offensiveness, and the Santa Maria Times reserve the right to run longer letters on a case-by-case basis.
